Why Micro-Apps are Better for Building More Effective Apps

Posted: 24 Feb 2018 07:52 PM PST

An average smartphone today is installed with numerous apps which has a variety of functionalities. Among them are the enterprise apps and studies show that many enterprise apps don't help in the employees' productivity. Majority of the enterprise apps are loaded with numerous features and functions resulting in a cumbersome experience. The reasons behind the effectiveness of micro-apps are detailed below.

Problem with most of the current mobile apps

As said earlier most of the apps are loaded with a plethora of features. These extra features cloud the primary purpose of the app. This also has resulted in c

omplex interfaces with more options and hard-to-understand interfaces. The user ultimately stops using the app.

This problem is rooted right from the development stage. Most of the apps are nothing but a clubbed version of multiple apps. This slows the workings of the app and makes the loading time longer. The solution to this problem is the micro-app. Also, most of the apps which are famous now are from large enterprises. The apps from small enterprises are forced to spend huge amounts of money in developing and maintaining the app to add more features. Due to this reason, many wonderful apps have failed to go popular in app stores.

Micro-Apps

Micro-Apps are single functionality targeted apps. They are built to perform one task in the best possible way. This enriches the customer experience and saves a lot of hassles and time. Also, most of the apps are based on HTML/HTML 5 and, they load dynamically. This also saves a huge amount of money which is spent on advertising and promoting.

For instance, consider Facebook Messenger app. It is kind of a micro-app and it allows the users to chat with each other without any disturbances or difficulties. The user goes through a clutter-free experience and gets the job done in a less amount of time.

The challenge of implementing micro-apps

For a micro-app to be successful a common centre which can share the resources with other applications should be built and maintained. A micro-app can be developed without the need for another micro-app but for the information to be processed and shared, a micro-app should be able to communicate with the common centre. This could be a one-time setup and the users can see a lot of changes in the experience once this is implemented.

The three primary principles required to build the micro-app are:

Task-Focused Operations – Micro-app should provide an improved and best version of the core functionality it offers.

Independent functionality – The micro-app should be able to operate on its own, independent of the other applications.

Serving the supply – Micro-apps should provide quick jump-in and jump-out facilities since they are actually "supply" to the "demand" in the market.

The above information is provided by Red Spins online casino which is one best destination for playing great casino games online. Micro-apps already exist in the present time and in future, development of more number of micro-apps can be expected.
