Google Says NO to Gmail Privacy Posted: 15 Aug 2013 07:36 PM PDT If you’re a Gmail user, the free webmail service from the tech giant, you should know one thing : you have zero privacy when you’re sending or receiving emails, and that’s what Google said officially. After the NSA whistle blower Edward Snowden explained how wide spread and how deep is the State’s electronic surveillance in everything we do, over the internet and on our cell phones, now Gmail/Google  users must know for a fact that they can’t expect any privacy whatsoever. There are already a few webmail providers which closed down their businesses, because they couldn’t accept the fact that they will have to spy on their customers. These are companies that respect their users privacy and can’t accept the illegal Government intrusion in their private businesses. Lavabit closed down, Silent Circle also, they’re not offering anymore their secure email service. These are honest companies, with strong business ethics: Owner of Lavabit email blames US surveillance for closure  "Our government can order us to do things that are morally and ethically wrong, order us to spy on other Americans and then order us — using the threat of imprisonment — to keep it all secret." But how about Google? Well, Google sold out to Big Brother a long time ago and recently they just made a stunning statement, like it was nothing special or shocking(not to mention illegal), check this out : According to the California based Consumer Watchdog Company, Google declared in a legal brief  that Gmail users should not expect any privacy when using their services. You can see the document here. Quoting from Google themselves: “Just as a sender of a letter to a business colleague cannot be surprised that the recipient’s assistant opens the letter, people who use web-based email today cannot be surprised if their communications are processed by the recipient’s ECS [electronic communications service] provider in the course of delivery.” I think you can believe their own words so, if you care about your internet privacy, you should stop using Google and their services. Obviously, Google continues to say in its PR campaigns that they are using built in security and privacy features, in order to protect their users data , but if you take a look at the hard facts, you can clearly see the deception.   The post Google Says NO to Gmail Privacy appeared first on Android Apps.
